Welcome to The Tourism Centre based at Lancaster University. The team at The Tourism Centre supports economic growth within the North West tourism industry and the creative and cultural economy.

We use resources from the European Regional Development Fund, North West Universities Association, and the Higher Education Funding Council for England to help businesses achieve their goals of growth and quality.

The services we offer include:

• access to "Bespoke Graduate Business Consultancies," providing detailed business advice, support and action plans to SMEs;
• longer "Enhanced Consultancies" combining the skills of a graduate with  those of a member of The Tourism Centre's core staff;
• a range of "Business Builder" Workshops addressing issues surrounding marketing, customer service and business development;
• self-help "Marketing Toolkits" available for the accommodation sector, which has templates and tools to encourage more professionalism within the industry;
• "Leadership & Management Development Courses" for owner / managers in the North West Visitor Economy, designed to develop the individual and increase team performance.
• mentoring, coaching and peer-to-peer networks for visitor-economy professionals, to share best practice and provide a support network.
